Tour de Ville are a shop that specialises in classic frames, parts and complete bicycles. I paid a visit to their current London location to see the wealth of stock that they have, and man was I impressed.
So who are Tour de Ville then. Both Keith and Jos have worked in and around the cycle industry in various capacities, from bike shops to dispatching. They both share a massive passion for fixed wheeled bikes, and retro road machines of all periods. So by part accident and part design, after a trip to the continent the company was born.
They spend a lot of time finding the best of the 'old school' kit out there. The frames and parts are a mix of things that have had a life (but still have plenty to give) and some items that are completely new (and in some cases still boxed!). Stepping into their shop reminded me of the scene in Aladdin when they enter the cave with all the treasure in it. I didn't know where to look at first, but a good cup of tea calmed me down.
I would find it highly unbelievable for anyone that would call themselves a cyclist not to get excited by what they see. Even if the Retro thing isn't your cup of tea, the history and memories that these frames or chainrings hold is magical to feel. Some pieces would be just nice to have because they are beautiful, even if meant that they would never be built.

If you are looking for a complete bike talk to Jos and Keith about what you are looking for. Be it fixie, town bike or a classic road steed that you lusted after as a small child, I guarantee that they will be able to find something close to your wish list.
If you want to get in touch with them you can do so by looking at their blog page as it has all their contacts.
